If we have learned nothing else this year, we know that teachers are a mix between a real life Gumby doll and an octopus. Educators are displaying true flexibility while being pulled in different directions, and it has not gone unnoticed. Teacher collaboration has become even more of a necessity to obtain relevant and engaging resources for our students.
If you’re like me, the indispensability of information sharing has been an undeniable form of support. Having the ability to share and utilize research based lesson from peers is fundamental to the growth of educators and scholars.
There are days where I have mountains of paperwork and to do lists that make me feel like I’m walking barefoot on steamy, red, hot coals. The bountiful features provided by Nearpod turns the coals into sand moving through my toes like soothing, warm, grainy sugar.
Speaking of sand, have you ever been to a beach and encountered wet, muddy sand, or mud in general? When I was a little girl, I loved pushing my feet deep in the mud to make a little hill over my foot. I would then step on the hill and push my toes under it to create another hill. Just like that mud hill, educators are creating and recreating materials for daily use in the classroom. Why not share and help another teacher avoid frustrations. Not only that, but you can receive the same help when others share with you!
Sounds simple, right? Well, with Nearpod, it is just that. I have increased my teacher networking community by sharing and receiving lessons and activities through

Nearpod. Let’s talk about receiving a lesson from another teacher. Once you've received a shared lesson, click the link for access. You will be asked if you want to add it to your library. Once you click add to my library, you’re done! The lesson is now in your library for any edits or immediate use.

Sending is just as seamless as receiving a lesson. From your library, click the three blue dots on the top left of the selected lesson.

Click share with teachers to reveal multiple avenues of distribution.

These options include email, social, link, embed, and remind. You can send an editable version or a viewable only version. Keep in mind, if you choose editable, it will not affect your lesson and allows the receiver to personalize the lesson for their needs.
How do you collaborate with your peers through Nearpod? I would love to hear about how this has helped you and your colleagues. You can reach out to me on Twitter and Instagram @TeachMsRoberson or comment on this blog below. Also, If you have any ideas for resources, feel free to send me a message and I will try to create and blog about the suggestion. I look forward to interacting with you!
